Dana Emmons has a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has over 30 years of experience as a practitioner and specializes in work with Individuals all ages, couples, families, and child play therapy. She believes early intervention can prevent and reduce a person’s suffering and likes to help each individual and family to reconnect with the things that are most important to them. Her goal is to assist patients in their rediscovery of the possibilities that allow them to live their best life.
Dana Emmons believes that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs and attitudes then they are free to experience change. Her strengths-based approach is holistic, eclectic and guided by the needs of the individual. She has specialized training (AFCC) in high conflict family dynamics including but not limited to treatment of substance abuse, interventions, anxiety, depression , reunification, and co-parenting meetings with divorced parties.
